At Suburban Records, we believe that all the best music has one thing in common: Soul. Soul has the unique ability to communicate happiness, love, sorrow, and anger – all those essential qualities which we believe makes the difference between an average song and a unique song. Whenever we sign new artists, soul is what we look for. Both in their songs and sound, as well as the stories they tell. Within these parameters, we allow our artists total creative freedom – which we believe is of the highest importance.

 

Another name we are proud to have worked with are Hermano, fronted by none other than Kyuss frontman John Garcia. These kings of desert rock signed to our label in 2005 and released multiple records that have stood the test of time.

 

Flash forward to today, when we recognise the same soul, talent, and spirit in the new blood on our label, including the howlin’ Hammond infused Southern rock of DeWolff and instrumental space rock act Monomyth, whose Floydian outerworld you’ll never want to leave. And don’t forget about Tim Akkerman, Navarone and Sloper! This is the new blood and we are excited about the future of rock n’ roll.
